Nearly all-modern hearing aids are equipped with a T-Coil. A T-Coil is a micro antenna inside the hearing aid that picks up the sound wirelessly from an induction-hearing loop that is installed in the facility. A magnetic field is produced by a low voltage electrical current from the amplifier. The sound is transmitted from the speakers' microphone and is broadcast directly into the users' hearing aids or cochlear implant, bypassing the PA system. The hearing loop eliminates the reverberation for people with t-coil equipped hearing aids so that they can fully experience the sound from the speakers microphone.
